    Broad Interpretation

COMPUTER SERVICES TAX     -    IMPACT TO CPSI Prepared by John Eckenrode, CPSI President, December, 2007John.E@cpsi-md.com  / 410 455-0005

CPSI is a 17 million dollar annual revenue computer services firm headquartered in Catonsville/Baltimore.  We hope for a complete repeal of the Computer Services Sales Tax during the 2008 General Session.  We believe the new tax is very harmful to the future of information technology in Maryland.  If this is not possible, then we hope for meaningful amendments.  Short of that, our profitability will be reduced by over 90% (contact me for details) and we’ll be forced to reduce staff, cut salaries, or both– or move out of Maryland– just to stay in business.

Please contact me - I'd love to share more details with you about our story.

    Thanks, Joh Eckenrode,

    CPSI President
